Welcome to the "ED VADAS - THE WAY I SEE IT" Blues Music Site.

At 66 years of age, I travel much less than the 40,000 plus miles per year since 1970.

As father time creeps up on me, I decided that I can still preach my gospel of the blues to any unsuspecting visitor to this site.

I believe that I have a quite different idea and approach as to what is important in blues music and how many people now performing blues music seemed to have lost their ability to convey that which, I believe, makes blues great.

The funny thing is that most blues lovers and players were taken by the music for the correct reasons, but seem to have lost track, in their effort to learn. Many have studied how to build a boat, but forgot where the river was.

Throughout the site, but mostly in the "way I see it" section, I will semi-regularly opine on various subjects. (School of Ed) I hope that these essays will inspire interesting replies representing various agendas and points of view. Those replies, from either EMail or the site comments section deemed especially appropriate will be quoted, placed, and replied to in "the way I see it" page.
