Ed Vadas: Photos-old and new
Newport 66 (photos poloroid swinger)
- The Howlin' Wolf at Newport 66.... Until I saw Wolf, I thought there was no place for electric music in the blues.

- A very young and just starting to be recognized Ritchie Haven.

- At home at folks parking lot, where I camped at the Newport 66 festival

- Ed Young's Southern Fife and Drum Band (Newport 66) Other than Library of Congress stuff, this was my first live exposure to this music. Donavan and Maria Muldar were in the crowd and next year they both covered Ed's version of "Buy you a Chevrolet".

- Jim Kweskin Jug Band (Newport 66) I loved the Kweskin Jug Bands approach to that music. Their records were good, but live, they were beyond belief. I still would love to do a night of Jugband Music.

- Son House (Newport 66) You see me write a lot about how the feeling of truth is the most important thing in performance, Son House can sing and play totally out of tune and make you feel like you had an epiphony! (sp)
